As women in our 20’s, we’ve already begun to see the effects of aging in little ways. Hangovers last longer, we’re noticing subtle creases in our skin, and we can’t eat a whole pizza in one sitting without noticing the effects next day. Aging is a part of life and will inevitably happen to all of us. The tricky part is accepting this step in life. Aging emotionally is great but aging physically has been seen as negative. It doesn’t have to be that way, and it shouldn’t.
Aging has a bad reputation in our looks-based society, but with age comes wisdom. Use your 20+ years of wisdom to make wise choices in taking care of yourself. It does take some effort and consistency, but it will feel awesome to be carded as you approach 50. These beauty tips will ease the aging process and keep you looking like the hottie you are, and always will be.
Always Wear SPF
Like, Every. Single. Day. Even when it’s cloudy. The sun is the number one (!) cause of skin damage. This means wrinkles and age spots just from going outside. Being tan now will not be worth the wrinkles you’ll develop when you’re older. You need to apply a sunscreen or a foundation (or both), with an SPF of at least 15 when you go out, but higher is better. Be consistent and you can even reverse skin damage caused by those spring breaks (and inevitable sunburns) spent at the beach.
